Yannis Tsironis is a chemist specialized in Organic Synthesis (Peptide
synthesis) and Biochemistry.
Actively supporting the Green Movement since 1982 because he firmly
believes that only the Green ideas can give a realistic alternative to the
neoliberalism domination in the political field.
Main Political Positions:
Co founder and member of the Greek Green Party, member of EGP,
“Ecologists Greens” "Οικολόγοι Πράσινοι".
Delegate in the EGP council of the “Ecologists Greens” from 1999 to
2010.
Co-chair of Greek Greens from 2010-2011 and from 2013 to 2015.
Alternate Minister of Environment-Energy-Spatial Planning from 2015 to
2016.
Alternate Minister of Rural Development from 2016 to 2018.
MP in the Greek Parliament from 2015 to 2019.
